About Us
We are educators who are focused on equipping all novice drivers to be competent, confident, calm drivers who enjoy both being behind the wheel and the freedom that cars provide.

Our company is Austin-based.

De Facto and De Jure

Driving is an encapsulation of the challenges of becoming an adult. It is an exercise in judgment, negotiating conflicting demands, understanding the distinctions between the written and unwritten rules, and managing people based on their psychology.

Our curriculum is designed to help teens navigate the complexities of real-world driving, maturing into confident, prudent, and competent drivers.
Not everyone comes to driver education with the same expectations, skills, innate abilities and motivations.

We focus on building curriculums to give all drivers a strong foundation to get a license and build experience as drivers.
Smoothing the Parent-Teen Driving Experience

Learning to drive is a challenge for both teens and parents

Our curriculum is design to help both teens and parents make the driver ed experience a pleasant one. Even a bonding one. We do this by addressing head-on how it can be a challenge to teach, and to learn, in that relationship.

It is stressful learning to drive with my parents.  They are so nervous. They assume I will make bad decisions. They don't trust me behind the wheel.
Amanda
Teaching my kid to drive is tough. He thinks he already knows everything. He is over-confident and does not understand the dangers. My advice goes in one ear and out the other.
Magda

Our course offers concrete techniques to alleviate some of the common causes of stress in the driver education experience, alleviating some of the common tensions between parent and child.

Learning to drive should be an exciting time for both teen and parent, creating new forms of independence, and responsibilities.  TexanDriver helps ensure the moment is one that both teen and parent will enjoy.
